MEET OUR BOARD
Drug Free Vigo County is a dedicated community coalition committed to tackling alcohol and substance abuse issues through education, local needs assessment, and the development of comprehensive plans. Our mission is to promote a healthier community by addressing the challenges associated with substance use and fostering positive change.
As a proud recipient of the federal Drug Free Communities grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, Drug Free Vigo County has the resources to focus on critical areas such as reducing underage drinking and preventing substance abuse. Since our establishment in 1989 as The Local Coordinating Council, we have evolved to meet the growing needs of our community. In 2018, we rebranded as Drug Free Vigo County and introduced a new logo to better reflect our mission and vision.
Our coalition works tirelessly to create and implement strategies that support a drug-free environment, drawing on community partnerships and evidence-based practices. We are dedicated to making a meaningful impact and invite you to join us in our efforts.
