Drug Free Vigo County facilitates several events throughout the year. The National Prescription Drug Take Back event is a national effort that encourages people to drop off their unused prescription drugs for disposal, keeping them out of children’s hands. Take back days are held twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall.
Drug Free Vigo County also facilitates the Wabash Valley Youth Leadership Summit. This annual conference is open to children entering into middle school, who are currently in middle school or going into high school. Participants of the summit walk away with a sense of empowerment that they can change their community with the power of their own voice and gain a sense of their leadership styles.
